Bank of Montréal (BMO) will relocate its Hawkesbury branch from 280 Main Street East to a new location on County Road 17 in December.
The bank confirmed the move in response to questions about the sale of its current building, which is listed for $949,000. The listing on the Royal LePage Performance Realty– Team Steven Levac website states BMO’s lease runs through December 2026, and that vacant possession will be available at the end of the year.
Beginning Friday, December 4, BMO clients will be welcomed at #80, 452 County Road 17, according to Jeff Roman, Director of Enterprise Media Relations for BMO.

“To ensure uninterrupted service while construction of the permanent branch is completed, we will temporarily welcome clients from an on-site location at the new address,” Roman said.
Roman said the new branch will be part of a new retail hub and described it as “our latest investment in the Hawkesbury community.”
“With a refreshed presence anchored in the new retail hub in Hawkesbury, this new branch reflects our continued commitment to being where our clients are and to helping them make real financial progress,” he said.
BMO said clients began receiving notifications about the move in July, while information has also been posted at the existing Main Street branch.
The property at 280 Main Street East is an 8,220-square-foot commercial building on a 6,146-square-foot lot. It was listed for sale on Monday, August 10, via Royal LePage Performance Realty.
BMO said its branch teams are available to assist clients with questions about the transition.
