The Champlain Library will be holding a Children’s Book Sale from Monday, June 17 to Saturday, June 22 during regular opening hours.  Books from the juvenile, junior and young adult sections of the library have been selected for the sale.  Proceeds from the book sale will be used to help pay for the library’s Summer Reading Club materials and activities.  This year, the Summer Reading Club will focus on outdoors, science and the environment.

On Saturday, June 22 from 10 am to 12 noon, families are invited to come to the library to register their children for the Summer Reading Club and can also make a fairy garden.  Every child who registers receives an activity pack and has the chance to win great prizes throughout the summer.  Don’t miss out on beekeeping and Tomatosphere workshops, birdfeeder crafts, literacy walks, and movies. In August, the library will hold a wrap-up party with special guests from Ray’s Reptiles! All the activities are free and you can sign up for as many or a few as you like.

The library staff encourage you to attend the book sale and hope you will encourage your children to read all summer long.  Who knows, your child may find a new favourite read! For more information about the library call 613-678-2216, visit www.bc-cl.ca or find us on Facebook and Instagram.
