It’s official: Yves St-Denis returns to the political arena for the Québec 2018 general election.
The announcement was made at the Lachute Golf Course on the evening of August 23, 2018, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of more than 300 people.
During a press conference held back in June 2018, St-Denis told the press that he would be touring his constituency to seek support before returning to the race as an independent candidate: “If the results are good, I will honour the gesture by running as an independent candidate in the 2018 elections. If not, I will go home.” (See Review article “Yves St-Denis gives statement on accomplishments, upcoming projects and future in politics”, published on June 26, 2018)
Apparently, the results were positive, for the crowd was treated to a positive St-Denis on stage.
“Over the past years, I’ve witnessed a renewal as well as economic, cultural and social development,” said St-Denis.
“I feel proud, privileged and humbled to participate alongside all of you in this return; to be here and present for you.”
Indeed, St-Denis’s motto for this election is “PRÉSENT pour vous” (HERE for you).
“My party, my REAL party, is you, the people of Argenteuil,” stated St-Denis.
