Held at École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet, the Plantagenet edition of Relais pour la vie saw many gathered for the cause on the school’s vast track field, surrounded by tents, activities, food and music.
The event was held Friday evening, June 8, 2018, from 6 p.m. to midnight.
After the opening ceremony, several activities were planned to keep the walkers’ morale high, such as a survivor’s march and themed walks (complete with costumes).
“This is our fourth year,” said President of Relais pour la vie 2018 Annie Ménard.
“Last year, we raised $38,000. We’re aiming for the same this year.”

Bra pong, anyone? One of the many stations along the track featured a home-made version of bra pong. An instant classic. (Photo credit: Cedrik Bertrand)

Local entrepreneurs were also part of event! Here, we see Véronique Gour of “Véronique – Maman à la maison” (visit her FB page), selling her custom made essential oil diffuser jewelry. 25% of her sales were donated to the cause. (Photo credit: Cedrik Bertrand)
