A 21-year-old man from North Glengarry Township was treated for non-life-threatening injuries on December 4, after losing control of his side-by-side all-terrain vehicle and crashing.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) detachment responded to the accident, which was reported at 1:38 a.m., on a trail located near Industrial Boulevard, in Alexandria.

Police say that at the time of the accident, the victim appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The crash victim has been arrested and charged with driving a motor vehicle while his ability was impaired and for driving a vehicle with more than 80-milligrams of alcohol in his blood. He was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, in Cornwall, on December 22.
