MORA CHRISTENA CUNNING

August 30, 1922- January 7, 2017
It is with our great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Mora Cunning, at the Palace Long Term Care Facility on January 7, 2017 at the young age of 94. Surrounded by her family during the day, she took her journey home with her children by her side. Predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert Cunning, she leaves behind her son, Allen Cunning (Janice) of Vankleek Hill and her daughter, Ann Ladouceur (Roger) of Alexandria. Also to mourn her passing are her five grandchildren, Trevor Cunning (Shauna), Michael Cunning (Emma) , Jennifer MacMillan (Ryan), Jamie Ladouceur (Alexis), Robert Ladouceur, (Julie), and her precious three great-granddaughters, Hailey, Emmy and Kylee. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Campbell (late Alister) of Dunvegan, sisters-in-law, Doris MacIntosh (late Weldon), Dunvegan, Barbara Cunning (late William) of Ottawa and brother-in-law, Donald Cunning of Vankleek Hill and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Donald Hugh MacIntosh and Bella Margaret MacCrimmon and her siblings, Mae Moyer (Clarence), Allen MacIntosh (Mabel), Marion MacGillivray (Rae), Weldon MacIntosh (Doris). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Service will be held in the Alexandria United Church on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11 am. Spring Interment Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dunvegan. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Palace Retirement Residence, the Kenyon Presbyterian Church, Dunvegan or to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
