The family of Joyce Allen would like to thank everyone for the warmth and support shown to our family over the past few weeks. We are truly touched by the extraordinary kindness shown to us – with the beautiful flowers that were sent, the generous donations to the Heritage Lodge, the Humane Society and the Hawkesbury General Hospital; and all of the cards and personal messages of support that we have received.
A special thank you to everyone that joined us at the celebration of life. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and love that we felt from family and friends. The recount of so many wonderful memories and stories of our mom and grandma are a testament to the love that she had for her family and her community. We know that mom would have been delighted to witness such a fantastic gathering of all of her favourite people from near and far. It is clear to us that while our loss is immeasurable, so is the amount of love that she left behind.
A special thank you to all of the staff at The Heritage Lodge. The wonderful team does extraordinary work. Your unwavering dedication never went unnoticed and was often the topic of conversation during our daily visits and check-ins. A special thank you also goes to the friends that mom made during her time there – those friendships were such an important part of her happiness. Everyone at The Lodge truly made it a “home” for her.
We also want to extend our gratitude to Hillcrest. Your team has been a tremendous source of comfort and guidance to us. We are forever grateful that you are part of our community “family”.
