The White Pearl College of Advanced Beauty and Wellness Ltd., founded by Mariève Siracusa, is set to officially open on September 8, 2026. The College was created to continue the legacy of Algonquin College’s full-time Esthetics program following its closure, offering a modern, high-quality education in beauty and wellness.
Mariève Siracusa brings over eight years of post-secondary teaching experience and more than 13 years as a licensed esthetician and makeup artist. Her career includes work in film, television, bridal, and editorial makeup, with advanced training across North America.
“Following the closure of Algonquin College’s full-time Esthetics program, we recognized the importance of continuing that tradition of excellence in beauty and wellness education,” said Mariève Siracusa.
“The White Pearl College was founded to ensure students still have access to top quality training that combines proven techniques with innovative, industry leading practices. Our mission is to prepare graduates not only with the skills they need today but also with the vision to succeed in the future of this dynamic industry. We are proud to carry forward this legacy while embracing a modern approach that supports the evolving needs of both students and clients.”
“I love teaching and it wasn’t the end for me,” Siracusa said.
“We just couldn’t stop.”
The College’s faculty consists of seven accomplished industry leaders with extensive experience in esthetics education, clinical practice, curriculum development, and business ownership. Several faculty members held key leadership and instructional roles within Algonquin College’s Esthetics program, contributing to program coordination, curriculum development, and the education of future esthetics professionals. Collectively, the faculty brings a wealth of academic expertise, industry knowledge, and practical experience, ensuring students receive current, evidence-informed instruction that reflects the evolving needs of the profession.
The White Pearl College will initially offer part-time certificate programs for professionals seeking advanced skills. In January 2027, it will launch a full-time Esthetics Diploma Program, the first in Eastern Ontario since Algonquin’s closure, featuring small classes, hands-on training, and strong industry partnerships. The White Pearl College aims to become Eastern Ontario’s premier destination for esthetics education.
Siracusa said it was important to her to offer a program that gives students the best qualifications possible for a career.
“I wanted to be able to give a diploma, not just a certificate,” she said.
Siracusa is also hopeful graduates will continue to work in the surrounding area. One of the reasons she chose Casselman as the location for the college is because many former students in the Algonquin program were from Prescott-Russell and the eastern part of Ottawa.
The White Pearl College blends evidence-based education with practical experience and mentorship to prepare students for successful careers in beauty and wellness. The campus is located at 64 Racine Street in Casselman.
