A two-day summer celebration begins this Friday in Lachute.

The annual Lachute en fête festival begins Friday, July 17 and continues on Saturday, July, 18.

The free event takes place at Parc Barron in the centre of town near the downtown area and Rivière-du-Nord.

In addition to two days of live music on two stages, family-friendly activities and food vendors will be part of the event.

The music starts at 7 pm on Friday with Trudy followed by Salabarbes at 8:30 pm. Both shows are on the main stage.

On Saturday, Madhouse performs at 5 pm on the Scene Pergo stage. At 7 pm, Classe Moyenne will play on the main stage, followed by Roxane Bruneau at 8:30 pm.

On-site food at Lachute en fête will be provided by Subway, La boulangerie d P’tit Chef, Fromage et Cie, Ramen T Fest, La Crémia, and Ferme Hill head chili.

Beverages will be sold by Tim Hortons, the Club Richelieu bar, Brasserie Sir John, and Limonade Lemon Heaven Montréal. Cash, debit, and credit cards will be accepted for food and beverage payments.
