The sky was often a disturbing yellow around the area on Tuesday, July 14.
Extremely hot and humid weather in the low 30’s Celsius combined with forest fire smoke that had travelled south from northern Ontario and Québec led to yellow skies and a barely visible sun during the day. Environment Canada issued a yellow air quality warning late in the day on Tuesday for most of Prescott and Russell, and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, but not Argenteuil where conditions were no better.
Thunderstorms passed through the area on Tuesday evening.
