Singer-songwriter Damien Robitaille will headline the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet’s 2026 Canada Day celebration in Lefaivre.

The event takes place on Wednesday, July 1 at the Lefaivre Riverside Park on Wednesday, July 1.

From 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., residents and visitors are invited to take part in this celebration highlighting the community and Canadian culture. The program will feature a family zone, activities for all ages, a soccer zone celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026 hosted in Canada, musical performances, as well as a spectacular fireworks display over the Ottawa River in the evening.

The musical lineup will also feature Brian St-Pierre, and the band Socks Over Pants.

Originally from the Franco-Ontarian village of Lafontaine, Damien Robitaille is a singer-songwriter known for his inventive and eclectic pop sound. He has earned the Félix-Leclerc Prize at Les Francos de Montréal and has become a distinctive voice on the Canadian music scene. His album Homme autonome was certified gold in 2023, and in 2025 he released his 11th studio album, Ultraviolet.
