The 2024 edition of L’Orignal’s Food Drive has been announced. Another opportunity to help those in need has presented itself; give generously!
The overwhelming response to the 2023 iteration of the food drive has warranted another community-driven project.
There will be no door-to-door collections this year. Non-perishable food items and cash donations can be made at the following collection sites listed below.
The L’Orignal Fire Hall at 10 Elgin Street will be accepting community donations on December 1, between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm, or December 2, between 4 pm and 7 pm.
The L’Orignal Food Bank is located at 135-C Longueuil Street and will be collecting contributions on Tuesdays from December 3 to 17, between the hours of 9:30 am and 3 pm.
Lastly, the Canada Post office at 1018 King Street will also be accepting donations from December 2 to December 17 during regular operating hours. The office’s hours are between 9 am and 5:30 pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Thursdays, the office is open from 9 am to 6:15 pm.
Should the Canada Post strike still be ongoing during this time, it is recommended that interested residents bring their donations to one of the other sites.
Official receipts will be issued for monetary donations of $20 or more when names and mailing addresses are provided.
