Fire Prevention Week and family fun combined on Saturday, October 3 outside the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria.
North Glengarry Fire Services hosted a Touch a Truck event with vehicles from the fire department on display for visitors to explore and learn how firefighters use them to do their important job for the community. The Township of North Glengarry Department of Public Works had road maintenance vehicles and machinery on display, including a pavement sweeping machine built by Metec of Vankleek Hill.
MacEwen Agriculture and P38 Energy also had trucks on display at the event.
