Sûreté du Québec officers in Lachute made an arrest in connection with a drug-related incident on Thursday, September 24.
A search warrant was executed at a residence on rue Principale. A 62-year-old woman was arrested and later released. She will appear in court at a later date and could face charges related to narcotics, illegal cannabis, and offences under the Tax and Tobacco Act.
During the operation, police seized more than eight grams of hashish, six methamphetamine tablets, more than 135 prescription pills, and 98 contraband cigarettes.
The operation stemmed from an investigation initiated following information received from the public.
