Looking for a good book or an enjoyable evening out? The Friends of the Library have two events planned this September, with all proceeds going towards supporting programs and services at the Champlain Library.
First up is the Friends’ Book Sale on September 6, held outside the library during the Festival of Flavours. Stop by and browse a selection of great English and French books. There will also be a variety of puzzles available. Whether you’re looking for something new to read or a puzzle for a quiet afternoon, you may find just what you need.
On September 16, join the Friends for Read Between the Wines, an evening of books, conversation and wine at the Vankleek Hill Vineyard. The event will be held indoors and features five local authors, each with a different perspective and area of interest: Beth Oldfield (fitness, self-help and short stories), Katrina Tortorici (YA fantasy), Elle Laliberté (self-help), Phil Gurski (national security), and Raven B. Dance (metaphysical and spiritual enlightenment).
Tickets are $22, which includes a glass of wine, only a few tickets remain. Tickets can be purchased at the library or by calling 613–299–5275.
We hope to see you at one of these events and thank you for supporting the Friends of the Library.
