One of the biggest events of the year in Vankleek Hill begins on Thursday, August 13. Four days of fun at the 2026 Vankleek Hill Fair will continue until Sunday, August 16 with competition, activities, and entertainment that celebrate the agricultural heritage of the surrounding area.

The excitement builds throughout the day on Thursday. The parade will leave the community centre parking lot at 6 pm and arrive at the grandstand at the fairgrounds at 6:45 pm in time for the opening ceremony at 7 pm. Midway will be open during the evening and there will also be live entertainment.

On Friday at the Vankleek Hill Fair, highlights include the heavy horse line and hitch classes competition, Holstein show, Peewee Showmanship, and the horse pull.

Saturday is traditionally the biggest and busiest day at the Vankleek Hill Fair, and this year looks to be no exception. The day includes the Extreme Cowboy Race, more heavy horse competitions, the Open 4-H Dairy Heifer Show, Youth Volleyball Tournament, and Hockey Shooting Challenge. Saturday at the fair culminates with the always popular demolition derby.

Sunday is the last day of the fair and still holds lots of action, The English/Western Light Horse Show, Farm Stock and Antique Tractor Pull, Cornhole Tournament, Motocross Show, and Beef Show are part of the day’s events.

Throughout all four days of the Vankleek Hill Fair, the Midway is open, there is live entertainment, exhibits in the Agri-Education Barn, activities for children, and demonstrations of sheep shearing and chainsaw carving. Stop by the Exhibit Hall and see the best baking, preserves, needlecrafts, art, and flowers from around Vankleek Hill. There are also activities for children in the Kids Fest area.
