On Thursday, July 23 the University of Ottawa Heart Institute recognized the commitment of the Vankleek Hill Curling Club and community with a heartfelt plaque presentation. Held each year in February during Heart Month, the club’s annual Heart Institute Curling Bonspiel celebrated 11 years of strengthening lifesaving cardiac care in early 2026. The Institute’s presentation represented deep gratitude to Bruce MacNaughton, Pitt Paquette, and the incredible volunteers, participants, donors and supporters that make this event possible and successful each year.
