There were no cinemas in the early days of Glengarry County, and the old Border Drive-In at Curry Hill is gone, but the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan is a perfect place to enjoy a movie outdoors on a summer evening.

On Friday, July 17, an audience enjoyed 1980’s comedy with The Goonies outdoors on the museum grounds. The screen will be up again on Friday, August 7 for a showing of the appropriately titled A Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller. The movie starts at dusk/8:30 pm. Spectators should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. The museum provides the popcorn. Admission is pay-what-you-can.
