Fête nationale/St-Jean-Baptiste was celebrated across Québec and by francophones in communities across Canada on Wednesday, June 24. In Grenville, the party got started early on Tuesday, June 23 with festivities at Parc Normand-Woodbury including live music and a big fireworks display to finish the evening. Grenville is home to the only Fête nationale parade in the region, and it included many decorated floats, vehicles, and individuals following a route through village streets.
Fête nationale/St-Jean-Baptiste celebrations were also held in Lachute and Brownsburg-Chatham on June 23 and 24.
