Come and discover the L’Orignal Old Jail as it opens its doors for a Heritage Day celebration on Saturday, June 13.
The special Open Doors event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy free entry to the museum. Visitors are welcome to explore one of Ontario’s most unique historic sites while discovering the rich heritage of the Prescott and Russell region. Several local heritage organizations will also be on-site throughout the day, offering exhibits, information, and activities highlighting the area’s history and culture.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for the museum’s upcoming fundraising draw; tickets are $20.
Guests will also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase the book Behind the Walls – The Untold Story of the L’Orignal Courthouse and Jail, available at a reduced price of $35 for one day only during the event.
The L’Orignal Old Jail is located at 1023 Queen Street in L’Orignal.
