The 36th annual Vankleek Hill Music Festival began on Friday, April 24 with concerts taking place that evening, on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26 at Knox Presbyterian Church. During the weekend concerts, 54 individuals and ensembles performed. Pianists dominated the performances, but there were also guitarists, soloists, and both the fiddle club and choir from Pleasant Corners Public School (PCPS).
All of the performers at the Vankleek Hill Music Festival are students of local music teachers. They are Christos Bereris of L’Orignal, Linda Crawford of Vankleek Hill, Rosemary Harden of Vankleek Hill, ian hepburn of Vankleek Hill, Alice Rodger of Vankleek Hill, Kayla Séguin-Whittall of Vankleek Hill, and Pierre Shields of Vankleek Hill.
The Vankleek Hill Music Festival is a registered charity which in addition to presenting the annual event, hosts the annual Music and Arts Summer Camp, maintains the Réjean Lafrance Memorial Student Enrichment Fund, and maintains a Mason and Hamlin grand piano.
Vankleek Hill Music Festival concerts continue on May 1, 2, and 3.
