The total cost of paying United Counties of Prescott and Russell Council in 2025 was $479,467.

According to the annual remuneration report received by council on March 27, Alfred and Plantagenet Mayor Yves Laviolette was paid the greatest amount at $85,326 because he served as 2025 Warden. That amount includes a base remuneration of $69,737 plus $13,825 for conferences and other expenses, and $1,764 for reimbursed travel expenses associated with committee membership.

The second-highest paid member of UCPR Council in 2025 was Clarence-Rockland Mayor Mario Zanth, who became 2026-2027 Warden in December 2025. Zanth was paid a base remuneration of $49,812 plus $9,014 for conferences and other expenses, and $700 in reimbursed travel expenses associated with committee activities for a total remuneration of $59,526.

The base remuneration for the other six mayors who sit on UCPR Council was $47,820 each in 2025.

In addition to the base remuneration, Casselman Mayor Geneviève Lajoie received $10,485 for conferences and other expenses, and $631 for committee-related, reimbursed travel expenses, resulting in a 2025 UCPR remuneration total of $58,936.

Russell Township Mayor Mike Tarnowski was paid a total of $58,162, which also included $9,334 for conferences and other expenses, and $1,008 for committee-related, reimbursed travel expenses.

In 2025, Champlain Township Mayor Normand Riopel’s total UCPR remuneration was $56,901. This included the base remuneration plus conferences and other expenses totaling $8,976 and $105 for reimbursed travel expenses related to committee service.

East Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Kirby was paid the base remuneration in addition to $6,636 for conferences and other expenses, and $259 for reimbursed travel expenses related to committee service for a total 2025 UCPR remuneration of $54,715.

The total 2025 UCPR remuneration for The Nation Mayor Francis Brière was $54,411. Brière was paid $5,757 for conferences and other expenses and $834 for committee-related reimbursed travel expenses.

The UCPR Council member who received the lowest remuneration from the regional level of government in 2025 was Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Lefebvre. His total remuneration for the year was $51,490, which included the base remuneration, $3,272 for conferences and other expenses, and $398 for travel expenses reimbursed in association with committee involvement.
