Residents of Prescott-Russell now have another option to access non-urgent health care.

As of February 23, 2026, the Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (VTAC) is available to help residents get medical care more quickly for non-urgent health concerns. The service is designed for people who do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or for those who cannot get an appointment with their regular provider soon enough.

Through the program, patients can book appointments with a community paramedic and/or a nurse practitioner. Appointments are available Monday to Friday and can take place in person at clinics in Bourget, Casselman, Hawkesbury, and Rockland, or virtually depending on the patient’s needs.

Residents who would like to access the service can call 1-800-240-5581 to book an appointment.
