Around 2 p.m. on Friday, November 14, Sûreté du Québec officers attempted to stop a motocross bike travelling on rue des Érables in Brownsburg-Chatham. When the officers activated their emergency lights and siren, the driver made a U-turn and fled. After performing several dangerous maneuvers, the driver abandoned his motorcycle and fled on foot into a wooded area near a stream. After alerting his colleagues, the suspect was located and arrested by police officers in the Woodbine Street area.

The motorcyclist, a 26-year-old man from Brownsburg-Chatham, was arrested and later released. He will appear in court at a later date at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse. He could face charges of dangerous driving, fleeing from police, and possession of a vehicle with an obliterated license plate.
