The Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a series of break and enters that have occurred in the Casselman area over the past few weeks.

These incidents have primarily taken place during the overnight hours, targeting buildings that the accused expects to be unoccupied. Officers are actively pursuing leads and have obtained surveillance images of a person of interest believed to be connected to these occurrences.

Safety Tips to Help Prevent Break and Enters:

• Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when you are home.

• Install motion-activated exterior lighting and security cameras.

• Avoid posting travel plans or absences on social media.

• Report any suspicious activity or unfamiliar individuals in your neighbourhood.

• Keep valuables out of sight and secure sheds, garages, and vehicles.
