A little rain could not keep visitors from gathering at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan for an authentic harvest experience. The annual Harvest Fall Festival offered historical experiences, including trade demonstrations, historically-inspired goods, and the popular horse and buggy parade.

Live fiddle, country, and folk music kept families entertained throughout the day.

Vendors offered an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, warm baked goods, and freshly-made ice cream, while artisans showcased their handiwork, such as woodwork, quilts, and homemade crafts.

Attendees could explore various heritage demonstrations, including blacksmithing, textile arts, and working antique machinery. Children enjoyed crafts and face painting.

The Zucchini and Rooster Crowing contests returned this year, with judges awarding the best-dressed zucchini and most handsome rooster.

Spectators lined the property’s edge to watch horses and antique buggies circle the museum grounds; the parade was a highlight of the day.
