A thunderstorm and heavy rain led to a much shorter Walk for Alzheimer’s event in Chute-à-Blondeau on Saturday, May 17.

Organizers and participants gathered as usual outside the entrance of Manoir Carillon for a few remarks and reflection on the seriousness of Alzheimer’s and the need to support research for treatment, and ways of helping those with the disease and their caregivers. However, when a thunderstorm arrived and the rain poured down, the walk portion of the event was canceled. Participants and organizers later gathered indoors for food.
