The Québec government is contributing $1,546,449 to 14 municipalities in the Argenteuil provincial electoral district from the water and community infrastructure program. In the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil, a total of $651,238 is being distributed among six municipalities.

The funding was announced by Argenteuil member of the National Assembly Agnès Grondin on Thursday, April 17.

The funds are for municipalities with populations less than 5,000 and are intended for use on municipal infrastructure projects.  

In the MRC d’Argenteuil, a total of $651,238 is being distributed among six municipalities. Grenville-sur-la-Rouge will receive $140,312, and the village of Grenville will receive $115,826. The share of the funding for Gore is $130,926. Funding of $114,174 will go to Mille-Isles, and $75,000 each is being given to Harrington and Wentworth.

The Québec government has increased funding for the water and community infrastructure program by $90 million for 2024 to 2028.
