The municipality of Saint-André-d’Argenteuil is receiving $1,484,494 from the Québec government for local road improvements. Argenteuil member of the National Assembly Agnès Grondin announced the funding on Tuesday, April 8. The funding will be used for the reconstruction of chemin de la Rivière-Rouge Nord, which connects Saint-André-Est with the Mirabel boundary. The major reconstruction project is scheduled for this summer and will include paving, culvert replacement, and drainage improvements.

“The chemin de la Rivière-Rouge is not only an important artery for agricultural businesses in the sector, but it is also a key east-west link for many users,” Grondin said.

“This work, which will begin in the summer of 2025 between chemin Rodger and the village center, is essential to improve road conditions and ensure better management of our infrastructure,” Saint-André-d’Argenteuil Mayor Stephen Matthews said.
