The replacement of an important bridge in Brownsburg-Chatham and new culverts along a rural highway in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge are part of the Québec government’s plans for road projects in the Laurentides region during the next two years.

On Tuesday, April 15, Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility Geneviève Guilbault and Minister responsible for the Laurentides region Sonia Bélanger, announced the government is spending $386,160,000 during the next two years for road projects Laurentides.

The list of projects includes the replacement of the Pont Henri-Raby on Rue Principale in Brownsburg. The current bridge is in extremely poor condition and was closed to traffic late in 2024. The request for construction tenders will be issued in 2026. A series of culverts will also be replaced on Route 327 in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. The request for tenders for those projects will also be issued in 2026.

In 2025, tenders are being requested for work on Pont Blanc, which carries Route 329 over Rivière-du-Nord in the eastern part of Lachute.
