The Friends of HGH recently donated $50,000 to the current fundraising campaign of the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation, There’s No Place Like Home. This donation will be divided between three projects – $20,000 for ophthalmology, $20,000 for urology and $10,000 for CADD pumps for palliative care. This donation brings the campaign to 92 per cent of its total goal.
For 37 years, the Friends of HGH have faithfully supported the HGH Foundation, contributing more than one million dollars to date. The funds raised come from managing the hospital’s Boutique, Nevada ticket sales, and numerous other fundraising efforts. This group of volunteers is among the best donors to the HGH Foundation and plays a crucial role in ensuring that HGH patients receive the best possible care.
Under the leadership of Mireille Lauzon-Dauth, the Friends of HGH form a remarkable group of community members eager to give back. They dedicate their time to the hospital to assist patients and visitors. During your next visit, you will recognize them by their warm smiles and willingness to welcome and help you.
