A barn burned on Gourley Road near Chute-à-Blondeau on Friday, November 8. According to a witness there was no livestock in the barn. The East Hawkesbury Fire Department, along with firefighters from Hawkesbury and Vankleek Hill responded.
According to East Hawkesbury Fire Chief Bryce Luker, the cause of the fire is possibly electrical. He said one of the firefighters was actually already at the property working with one of the owners when the fire was reported. There were no injuries.
