Thursday, October 31 was a spooky night across the region as young and old celebrated Halloween. In Vankleek Hill, Susie Fairbrother’s House on Derby Street was decorated with interesting characters. In Hawkesbury, a haunted house was open on Cécile Boulevard. Grenville was busy on Halloween evening. There were activities at the community centre, youth centre, Maison des Jeunes, and the fire station. There was also a Dia de Los Muertos parade along rue Principale.
On Friday, November 1, Halloween on the Main was held on Main Street in downtown Hawkesbury. Trick-or-treaters in costume visited downtown businesses for candy, and businesses located outside the downtown area set up and handed out treats for the evening.
