Two suspects have been arrested and several items seized by police involving a contraband alcohol and drug operation in Saint-André-d’Argenteuil.

On Monday, October 7, the Sûreté du Québec arrested two men, aged 61 and 62 regarding smuggling of illicit cannabis and alcohol. They could face charges under the laws respecting offences relating to alcoholic beverages as well as the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The two searches on Route des Seigneurs in Saint-André-d’Argenteuil resulted in the seizure of:

  • More than 190 litres of alcoholic beverages
  • More than 10 methamphetamine tablets
  • More than 60 Cialis and Viagra tablets
  • More than $6,500 in Canadian currency
