Members of the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment are currently investigating an event involving a firearm in Clarence Creek.
On September 9, 2024, shortly after 7 a.m., the OPP received a call involving a firearm. Officers from the Russell County Detachment, assisted by members of the Hawkesbury OPP, the OPP Emergency Response Team, and the OPP K9 unit responded to an address on Brazeau Road in Clarence Creek.
Upon arrival on scene, officers made contact with the person of interest and an arrest was made without further incident. Due to the nature of the investigation, police remained on scene, but there was no threat to public safety. The OPP Russell County Crime Unit is assisting with the investigation.
