The Dunany Studio Artists are set to present their annual art exhibition at the Dunany Golf and Country Club, located at 2053 chemin de Dunany, Wentworth (14 kilometres north of Lachute). The event will take place August 22 and 23, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 pm.

This year’s theme celebrates the iconic loons, renowned for their haunting, melancholic songs and symbolic connection to Canadian lakes and cottage living. The exhibition will feature paintings and sculptures of loons crafted by each participating artist.

The exhibition will also showcase original works in watercolours, pastels, oils, acrylics, artistic mosaics, and sculptures by 15 talented artists. Participating artists include Maureen Cameron, Lois Finch, Judy Hammond, Marion McGill Hodge, Julie Huguette, Angela Macleod, Ginette Masson, Joanne Moore, Jane Pilon, Caroline Roy, Carol Sauvé, Revilla Sauvé, Barbara McCullough Scales, Carol Wilson, and Annabelle Wood.

The Dunany Studio Artists have been exhibiting their works at the Dunany Golf and Country Club for the past 26 years. This venue, which celebrates its 102nd birthday this summer, offers a historic and picturesque backdrop for the event.

The artists meet weekly at the Wentworth Recreational Community Centre to learn, share ideas, and explore new styles and techniques. Throughout the year, they also host professional watercolour workshops with visiting masters and renowned artist-teachers such as Renée Dion, Jacques Hébert, Doug Mays, and Art Cunanan.

Art lovers are encouraged to attend this dynamic exhibition. More information is available on the organization’s Facebook page, the Dunany Community Association website, or by contacting Barb McCullough Scales at [email protected].
