The 42nd annual Hawkesbury & District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation Golf Classic has raised a record amount of more than $76,000 for the hospital.
Held on July 3 at the Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club, the tournament sold out in less than a week and was a tremendous success.
Despite a few gusts of wind, golfers enjoyed one of the mildest days of the summer, with tasty snacks and refreshments served on the course.
“We are thrilled with the fantastic results of this year’s HGH Foundation Golf Classic. We are so grateful that the tournament generated a record profit for our hospital!” said HGH Foundation Executive Director Erin Tabakman.
Proceeds from this event will directly support the addition and expansion of the most sought-after healthcare services at HGH. They will allow the HGH Foundation to acquire important state-of-the-art equipment that will enable HGH to meet the healthcare needs of our growing region and take full advantage of the hospital’s recent redevelopment. This will provide access to more specialized care, closer to home, so that more people in our region can receive the care they need at HGH, without the stress of traveling further away.
