The Summer Reading Club at Champlain Library has begun, but it’s not too late to join the fun! Open to kids aged 0-13, our club welcomes readers of all levels. By signing up, you’ll be automatically entered into a draw to win an astronaut starry night projector!
This year’s theme is outer space! Once registered, you can sign up for our programming on Mondays and Thursdays which has been designed to introduce kids to space through crafts, games and activities. Check out the full schedule on our website at bc-cl.ca/events.
We also have special outdoor story times to explore different parks in our area. Jul 16 @ Samuel Riley Park in St Eugene, Jul 30 @ Miner Park in West Hawkesbury & Aug 13 @ L’Orignal Beach. Storytime runs from 10-11:00 a.m.
On those days, we’ll also host Storywalks from 10 am to 4 pm. Enjoy a stroll through the park while reading large, bilingual story pages placed along the path.
Don’t miss our special presentation on constellations and celestial objects by our astronomy club leader on July 10 at 3:30 pm. Registration is required for this stellar event.
We have one final contest: email a photo of your child in their unique or special reading space to [email protected], and you’ll be entered to win a rocket ship reading tent. You can also enter by scoring a row on the bingo sheet included in your summer reading club package.
Sign up today and blast off into a summer of reading adventures!
