The Maxville and District Sports Complex will soon have a new ice resurfacing machine.
On May 27, North Glengarry council approved the purchase of an electric Engo Ice Wolf Resurfacer at a cost of $186,198 plus sales tax.
The Engo tender was the lowest of three the municipality received for the new ice resurfacing machine. In the 2024 capital budget, $175,000 had been allocated for the purchase of the new equipment. Due to the greater than expected cost of the new machine, the township has decided to not purchase additional ice edging equipment at this time. The new Engo unit is to be delivered by January, 2025.
North Glengarry already has an Engo Ice Wolf machine at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria.
