Hey there, eco-warriors and nature lovers! It’s that time of year again—Earth Day might be over, but our exciting lineup of activities continues at the Champlain Library to celebrate Mother Earth in style!

For our nature enthusiasts aged 5 and up, we’ve got an awesome Upcycled Bird Feeder craft happening on April 25th at 4:15pm. And for the older crew (11 and above), we’re diving into the world of DIY Seed Bombs, also on April 25th at 4:15pm.

Wanna join the fun? Signing up is a breeze. You can hop online at bc-cl.ca or give us a buzz at 613-378-2216 to reserve your spot.

But wait, there’s more! Thanks to the green thumbs at the Horticultural Society, our Seed Library is sprouting up! It’s planting season, so stop by and start a little garden of your own.

May 1st is the deadline to join the Butterflyway team. What’s that, you ask? It’s a volunteer-led movement started by the David Suzuki foundation that aims to grow highways of habitat for bees and butterflies across Canada. By signing up you’ll get your own packet of native plant seeds to grow your own backyard butterfly garden.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out our stash of books on beekeeping, gardening, and all things wild and wonderful.

Catch ya at the library!
