The Collectif of artists from across Glengarry County presented their Big Show 2024 on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 at the Community Living building in Alexandria.

There are about 80 members of the Collectif. All of them are artists living in North and South Glengarry. At the 2024 Big Show, 43 of them participated, displaying 117 works including paintings, sculpture, photography, carvings, clay, wood, and writing.

This was the second year the Big Show was held at the Community Living building. Collectif Vice President Yvonne Callaway said many artists contribute 10 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of their work to the organization, which helps local residents with intellectual limitations. Collectif President Bobi Leutschaft Poitras also teaches an art class at the facility.

The Collectif’s next show is at The Nor’Wester & Loyalist Museum in Williamstown throughout May and June. An exhibition is also planned for August at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan.
