The curling season at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club ended on Saturday, April 6 with the final games of the Closing Bonspiel. The winning team of the “A” final was the team skipped by Bruce Mode with Wayne Hubbard as third, Isabelle Pageau as second, and Sarah Leroux as lead. The runner up team was composed of Dan Tremblay (skip), Lisette Ladurantaye (third), Ken Howes (second), and Monika Johnson (lead).
The “B” final winning team was skipped by Kyla Burwash with Claudia Portelance as third, second Allan Walker, and lead Ralph MacGillivray. The runner up team was led by skip Kenda Allen with Madison Parisien as third, Terry Potts as second, and James Morgan as lead.
Regular league curling at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club ended on Friday, March 29 with a competitive league victory for the team led by skip Darcy Conway. Other team members, who also served as spares and alternates were Leslie Dandy, Claudia Portelance, Mary Thomas, Cameron McCormick, and Alva Lepage.
