The home of Brownsburg’s cenotaph will soon have a new appearance.
On Tuesday, April 2, Brownsburg-Chatham council approved granting the contract for a redesign of Parc des vétérans, located in the centre of the village.
The town received two tenders for the project. The lowest tender, which was the one accepted by council, was submitted by Lee Ling Paysagement of St-Eustache for $203,342.
The improvements to the park will take place this spring and summer.
Mayor Kévin Maurice said Parc des vétérans is a prominent place in the community which has been very neglected in recent years. He wants the park to better honour Brownsburg’s veterans and show the community is proud of them.
