No further details are being made available about a search for a missing person in Grenville on Thursday, March 21.
There was a heavy police presence in the centre of the village that morning which caused many residents to wonder what was happening. Sûreté du Québec Sergeant Marc Tessier said no further details are being disclosed, other than police were searching for a missing person.
The Sûreté du Québec had closed off access to Rue du Canal Nord, Rue du Canal Sud, and Parc Desforges. In windy and cold conditions with choppy waves, Grenville firefighters were aboard their small boat, searching along the Grenville Canal.
