The condition of the gravel sections of Chemin Kilmar in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge were incredibly rough on the morning of Monday, February 12. Warmer weather and snowmelt turned the gravel sections of road into an expanse of potholes. A municipal grader operator was busy working to scrape the potholes away and make the ride more comfortable for drivers, passengers, and vehicle suspensions.
In recent years, many sections of Chemin Kilmar have been rebuilt and paved. More rebuilding and paving are planned for 2024 because of a $2,185,976 grant the municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge has received from the Québec government.
