A new program encourages shoppers at a Hawkesbury supermarket to donate to the local food bank.
One Item a Week at Asselin Your Independent Grocer has the goal of having shoppers purchase and contribute one item per week to a donation bin near the checkouts to help the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank.
The aim of the program is to help raise awareness of the need for food many local residents face and to show people how they can help.
