Although the Arbor Gallery will be closing on December 18 until the end of January 2023, there is still time before then to take in the current exhibition, Stephanie Pete’s Ontario Birds – A Series of Oil Paintings. Many of the life-like bird portraits have sold and the remaining ones would make exquisite and affordable gifts.,

And speaking of gifts, the last of the gallery’s Christmas pop-up shops takes place this weekend, December 17 and 18, with artist Susan Jephcott offering books, paintings and miniatures and Doris Bosch showcasing her handmade jewelery.

Building a community

In ending the year, Arbor Gallery would like to remind their members to stay on board to help the gallery pursue its community programs.

“We are so grateful to have members who are devoted to art and to the gallery,” says Sylvie Bouchard, who oversees the gallery work. “We hope they will renew their memberships and commitment. We also want to reach out to former members as we build a community that loves arts in all its forms. We are eager to share that love with others.”

Although the gallery will close on December 18, the management team will take January to finalise the 2023 program and put together more inspiring projects.

“Before we close, I would like to wish all of our friends and supporters the best of Christmas, and of the Holidays,” Bouchard continues. “We want to extend a very special thank you to all of our devoted volunteers who run the gallery with grace and enthusiasm.”
