Vocal group Voix-Là held its annual Christmas Rendez-vous on Sunday at Saint-Grégoire Church in Vankleek Hill, performing an afternoon of wonderful Christmas songs, both in French and English.
Part of the proceeds from the concert will be given to Tina Charbonneau, the young mother who will be representing the church at the Catholic World Youth Days, in Lisbon, Portugal, in August 2023. It will greatly help with the expenses of this representation. Charbonneauwill be accompanied by Parish priest Monseigneur Léo Villeneuve.
A novelty this year at the concert was the introduction of teen musicians and singers, Le Band Jeunesse, made up of Monika Langevin, Camélya Desmarais- Labonté, and Nikita Desjardins, under the direction of Matthieu Leroux. Leroux has launched an invitation to other students in the area to join their group in advance of a public concert to be held sometime in 2023.
