More than two dozen community organizations across the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) are receiving $71,000 in donations from its past warden.
At the inauguration of the 2023 UCPR Warden and 2022-2026 UCPR Council on November 23, 2022 Warden and former Casselman Mayor Daniel Lafleur presented cheques to 28 community organizations from across the region. It is a longstanding tradition that the outgoing warden presents donations to selected community-focused organizations, clubs, and not-for-profit agencies.
The donations from the from the 2022 Warden’s Fund and the amount of each donation are:

· Girl Guides of Canada: 1st Casselman Guide Unit ($3,500)
· C.C.S. Food Bank ($5,000)
· Park for the Elderly in Casselman ($2,500)

· Groupe des Scouts de la 37e Bavernasu ($2,000)
· 2804 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps ($3,000)
· Club Richelieu de Casselman ($3,000)
· Casselman Optimist Club ($3,000)
· Club 60 de Casselman ($3,000)
· Corporation of the Casselman Downtown Revitalization (Public Skating) ($1,000)
· Casselman Minor Hockey Association ($3,000)
· Maison Interlude House ($4,000)
· Centre Novas-CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell ($4,000)
· St. Paul Pavilion of Casselman Elementary School ($2,000)
