North Glengarry residents and voters can serve their community on two municipal communities.
The Township of North Glengarry is seeking applications for volunteer members for its Community Development Committee and Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee.
A minimum of four members are needed for the Community Development Committee. The committee will address subjects such as potential school closures, boundary changes, agricultural concerns, economic development opportunities, and priorities identified through the municipality’s Strategic Plan.
The Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee requires a minimum of five members. The committee reports to council on issues relating to arts, culture and heritage promotion within the Township of North Glengarry and specific interests such as the Community Grants Program and the Community Improvement Plan.
Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of North Glengarry or a registered voter in North Glengarry. Interested individuals are requested to send letter containing the name of the committee they are applying to join, their reasons for being interested in serving on the committee, any relevant experience they may bring to the committee, and a summary of their qualifications.
Committee meetings will take place during late afternoons or evenings.
The deadline to apply to become a member of the North Glengarry Community Development Committee and the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee is 12p.m. (noon) on Friday, December 23.
